The revolutionary light curtain from Pinnacle Systems. MicroGuard is thin in design, fits into tight spaces, uses reliable infrared technology, solid state construction, is easy to install and continually visually communicates the system status with operators and plant personnel.

Microguard (Body protection):

The Body Detection MicroGuard is designed to guard entry/exit areas in hazardous work cells. It utilizes the standard Metal Box or DIN-rail controller and provides coverage heights from 16" to 124.” Standard scanning distances of 20' apply, with extended range units shooting up to 35' on a straight scan.

SLT Series:

Standard on all safety light curtains is the revolutionary front panel diagnostic display. The bright red alphanumeric LED display shows the status of the safety light curtain along with various integral fault codes relating to the maintenance and operation of the system.

The diagnostic display monitors microprocessors, captive contact safety relays, bad grounds, external infrared sources, shorts, blanking, etc.

PPG Series:

Perimeter Guards utilize wider beam spacing than safety light curtains protecting personnel from “pinch point” or “point of operation” hazard zones. Perimeter Guards are designed to detect when an operator or passerby penetrates the perimeter of a hazardous zone. The Perimeter Guard safety light curtain will then initiate a stop signal to the machine control.

Perimeter Guards also incorporate latching safety relays. This requires a manual reset after each penetration into the guarded zone. This is an additional safety feature to protect the intruder from an inadvertent machine actuation while the intruder is within the work area.

STTS ( Soft Tactile Transducer Sensor):

The STTS (Soft Tactile Transducer Sensor) Safety Mat System is a technological paradigm in the field of presence-contact sensing/pressure sensitive safety mat systems. This revolutionary mat system is a hybrid design that combines features to meet and surpass both domestic and international safety standards. Through its advanced technology and state-of-the-art design features, the STTS Safety Mat System sets a new World Class Standard for the mat detection industry.

NSD (New Switching Device:

Open architecture digital mat (on/off) design permits interfacing with all existing types of safety mat controllers, safety PLCs, and safety relay systems for normally open SPST, 4 wire safety mats.
No rigid steel electrodes used in the switching mechanism that can rust and dent.
No wiring solder joints within the mat assembly that could degrade or short out.
Life cycle over 5,000,000 switch activations.
Customized wire exit positions available with no additional tooling costs.
Flexible electrodes prevent kinking/short-outs like rigid steel electrodes when bent.
